2017 Cadillac SRX – Review, Redesign, XT5

2017 Cadillac SRX receives the successor in the model XT5, recently confirmed that the SRX model new will use XT as prefix for its crossover and SUV models.


2017 Cadillac SRX – Interior and Exterior

As part of producer’s future vehicle design, expect thinner and more upswept headlamps, more upright mask and updated rear end tailgate with signature Caddy’s vertical tail-lights. Inside, new 2017 Cadillac SRX might get revised cabin and even all-new materials, but it will still be luxurious and spacious as it always was. Base models should keep their leatherette seats, while top models would be full-leather seats. Producer  also announced that all 2017 models will be equipped with the CUE 8 inch multi-touch screen, so we can expect to see this in the 2017 Cadillac SRX XT5 when it makes its debut. This technology will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to be phased after launch. Other connectivity options including Bluetooth, USB ports and power outlets, while navigation remains optional on all but top tier. Bose delivers sound through standard 8-speaker system or premium 10-speaker surround system. Heated and ventilated front seats can only be had with Luxury and above trim levels, while Standard grade can’t even get them through optional packages. Finally, top models even offer rear seat DVD entertainment system with dual 8-inch screens and Blu-Ray compatibility.


2017 Cadillac SRX Engine Specs

2017 Cadillac SRX- XT5 is expected to feature the upgraded version of GM’s 3.6 L V6 engine based on latest Chi platform. The upgraded 3.6-L V6 engine is expected to generate a horsepower of more than 308 HP and 286 lb-ft, which is the current capacity. There are also rumors about a smaller 2.7 L turbocharged V6 engine that might be deployed as an option. Both front and all-wheel drive will be offered to customers, and the usual 6-speed automatic transmission gear. Like current SRX, 2017 model will be similar, if not the same fuel economy numbers, 17/24 or 16/23 mpg depending on whether you choose front or available all-wheel drive.


2017 Cadillac SRX Price and Release date

2017 Cadillac SRX- XT5 are to cost around the $ 36 000, however, the more luxurious models may a price tag of somewhere close to $ 50 000. After all, it is a true luxury mid-size crossover comparing against the competitors likes of 2017 BMW X3 and new 2017 Audi Q5.
