2016 Toyota Avalon Full Review and Changes

February 19, 2015

After four successful generations, Japanese producer is ready to launch 2016 Toyota Avalon, refreshed full-size sedan which goes on sale end of this year.

2016 Toyota Avalon Interior and Exterior

There are available two unique versions of 2016 Toyota Avalon: more comfortable to attract older buyer, and also more dynamic one to attract younger buyers. Designers also adjusted the mask and added some accents to refresh the look. You cannot say that this is now sporty car, but it certainly looks more attractive. Here we have now refreshed fascia, black-grey-colored wheels, LED front lights and inspired day time moving signals.

When it comes to inside space the front seats could use a little more lateral support, but the back seats are among the best you can find in large sedans. This model comes with 16-cubic-foot trunk, and with a flat floor and wide opening. Hybrid models have a slightly smaller 14-cubic-foot trunk, but the lost space is a small sacrifice for the fuel efficiency benefit. All Avalon models now come equipped with 7-inch touchscreen interface and Entune audio system as standard and some models get wireless charging and navigation. Cabin materials are good quality, with nice, matching surfaces. With many new safety features we can enjoy more dynamic and responsive driving experience.

2016 Toyota Avalon Engine

There are five available trim levels for those who want a V6 engine (XLE, XLE Plus, XLE Premium, Limited and Touring), and three trim choices for those who want a hybrid. A strong and smooth 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 is by far the more common choice. Hybrid version of 2016 Toyota Avalon is really attractive and earns attention, for its refinement and responsive performance. With a net of 200 horsepower from its combination of motors, batteries, and a four-cylinder engine, the hybrid can get to 60 mph in just 8.2 seconds while it sips fuel at great 40 mpg EPA-combined rate.

2016 Toyota Avalon Price and Release date

2016 Toyota Avalon had its premiere on 2015 Chicago Auto Show this month. Sale is expected to start later this year. Having in mind that this is just a simple refresh, pricing should stay very close to the previous models, which starts at $ 32,285 which is far less than his market competitor 2016 Porsche Panamera.
