2016 Honda Pilot SUV comes as long waited third generation of this modern and stylish SUV. Without any doubt it is designed for the future.


2016 Honda Pilot Exterior and Interior

The 2016 Honda Pilot will be the 3rd generation of the SUV. The previous one was launched in 2008 and a lot of improvements need to be done in this new one. One of them is new platform. New model will use the same platform as Acura MDX. Basically, there are many similarities with new Acura MDX. Because of many aluminum-made parts, new model will be much lighter than its predecessor, which will inter alia provide much better fuel economy. Although new model will keep conventional square look, with minor changes, inside the cabin many improvements. The crossover is expected to come with three rows of seats and it is expected to be able to sit up to 7 or 8 adult passengers conveniently. Its roof is also longer. Buyers should expect redesigned bumpers and grille at the front. As a result, the 2016 Honda Pilot will take on a more aggressive and menacing outlook. The headlights, fog lights and taillights will also be redesigned to add to the rather aggressive look. Competition can be mentioned in Dodge Durango, Toyota Highlander and 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe.


2016 Honda Pilot Engine

The 2016 Honda Pilot is expected to be presented in just one engine model. The engine in this new one has similarities with the one in the previous model. It will therefore run on an i-VTEC V6 3.5 liter engine that can generate up to 290 hp with 267 lb-feet of torque. The engine will be made using Earth Dreams technology. It will be coupled with 6-speed automatic transmission. It will be presented in both the 4-wheel drive and front-wheel drive options. Some other rumors even mentioned that this new Pilot will have hybrid version.


2016 Honda Pilot Release Date and Price

There are huge expectations that 2016 Honda Pilot will be made available for sale in the auto market at the early part of 2015. There are LX, EX, EX-L and Touring trim levels.  Base Pilot LX will go from $31.000 and up to over $43.000 for the highest end models.
